Whilst this question has not been answered there are a list of factors that can increase the prevalence of food allergies according to Professor Katie Allen from Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital. Katie leads an expert research team that is producing exciting and promising findings when it comes to Australia's Food Allergies. The findings of one study, aptly named 'HealthNuts,' has led researchers to conclude that the rise in allergies is most likely a result of our modern lifestyle. Click here to read more
